Lie To Me....

I'm currently hooked on this series.. All thank to Swim, I've forsaken NCIS and watched nothing but Lie To Me for the whole day... I actually watched half an episode of NCIS, closed the window and went back to watching Lie To Me.. LOL

Lie To Me is about this group, lead by Dr. Cal Lightman (man with stubble), that helps third parties (usually the local and federal law enforcement agencies) in their investigations through applied psychology: interpreting micro-expressions and body languages.

What got me really interested in this series is that the main character Dr. Lightman is actually inspired by Dr. Paul Ekman, the pioneer in the study of the universality of the display of emotions..

Alright, I'm gonna go finish the first season, not gonna sleep till I do!

Very First Futsal Outing!

Alright, have been lazing for long enough, so time for another entry (was suppose to write couple of weeks back, but gave up before I can finish a sentence.. LOL)

Anyway, today I finally get to see how is Futsal played; and it is also our first United for United Futsal outing.. It's actually quite fun as the pace of the game is fast, the guys are constantly in action, having little time to slack... You can actually tell how much exercise this guys had judging by the duration of their play time.. haha.. We went to this place in Turf City called 'The Premier Pitch'.

Had a great time today, cause the whole game was light hearted, everyone just played and had fun, making mistakes and laughing them off.. No one was pissed about losing the ball, or screaming at their team mates not moving fast enough.. It was just plain fun...

The guys in action

Alex looks like he tripped over his own leg. Is that why Kenny's laughing at the back?

After 2 hours of play, we headed to an Indian food eatery for some food, fattening food after exercising, how is it gonna help them lose weight??

A day out...

Had a great time today.. John wanted to go to Peninsula to get the trophy that we are gonna give away as the first price tomorrow (later today in fact).. Refuse to let Merv get it instead, cause he's planning to use that as an excuse to spend some money at La Vanita. Merv had the same intention. -_-"

Here's the Premier League trophy that we are giving away as a first prize in the lucky draw organized by United for United! Cool ain't it? The Chelski and Man Utd friendly scarf for the runner-up and the Green and Gold scarf of the 3rd prize.

Anyway, in the end, we decided to head down there together instead. Got to meet Fern, Clarah and Cherisse, it was really nice hanging out with them..

It was like a role reversal day.. The boys got to shop and we followed.. Haha.. Apart from getting the trophy for the lucky draw, they ended up buying another 3 of it.. One of it is gonna be a present for Da.. John was SOOO tempted to get the Champions League trophy, but it cost about 200 buckaroos!! If it weren't so expensive, I wouldn't have mind him getting it..

After the shopping was done, we headed to Toa Payoh for dinner.. It was my first time there, and I realised this outlet is different from their others. Apart from Botak Jones, there is Brewski Jones, that sells beer, if anyone wants any to go with their food.. I find that idea pretty cool.

The service there, however, wasn't as good as that of the other outlets. The staff there were rude, one of the guy actually snapped at Merv ("Can you wait?" or something along that line) when he asked one of the girls if they can place their order. Real disappointed. Luckily, the food was good and we quickly forgot about it.. Tried the Swanky Franky for the first time, it was damn good. Think I'm gonna swap my fish and chips for that from now on.. But damn, the Botak in Woodlands does not have hotdogs, with it being the only Halal Botak outlet. Overall, dinner was good, cause the food was nice and the company was great!

After dinner, Merv dropped Fern and the kids home, then we went to Woodlands to continue buying the materials that we will be needing later. Picked up Sal and came over to our place after that to pack the scarves for sale, I left for my mum's place to help her with some stuff and to collect the car. Eric came and join them a little later. After everything is packed and set for the match, we met up at the coffeeshop at Blk 211 for supper. Now everything is all prepared! So looking forward to the match!

Ok, gonna go continue watching my NCIS now..
